Proton Motors hydrogen fuel cell emergency power system “HyCabinet S24”: Successful conclusion of the follow-up order from “DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH”

In a recent stock exchange announcement, Proton Motor announced the successful delivery and completion of the follow-up order from “DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH”, a subsidiary of “Deutsche Bahn AG”, the operator of the German rail network.
The company from the Munich metropolitan region has supplied the customer with a complete hydrogen fuel cell emergency power system for installation in a railroad control center in the greater Berlin area (see photo below), which has now passed the site acceptance test, customer handover and series and operational testing.

The conclusion of this follow-up order represents the customer’s first fuel cell emergency power system under the brand name “EnerRail H024″ and has a rated output of 24 kW.
It follows the cooperation agreement signed between Proton Motor and the customer in 2015, under which 23 systems have already been supplied for various emergency power applications.
The systems supplied to the customer include the “HyCabinet S24” plug-and-play fuel cell systemfor indoor use, which consists of three fully redundant “HyModule® S8 systems”.

Proton Motor CEO Dr. Faiz Nahab said: “The successful completion of this follow-up order from DB Bahnbau Group is further evidence of the company’s progress in commercializing its proprietary hydrogen fuel cell technologies and confirms Proton Motor’s leadership position in this sector. We look forward to continuing to work with DB Bahnbau Group to provide them with zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell solutions as Deutsche Bahn plans to phase out diesel generators by 2026.”
